Hiding Loose Skin After Weight Loss
The bad thing after weight loss, though, particularly if you lose it very quickly, is that the skin becomes loose – even sagging – if you’ve lost too much too quickly. Once you’ve done so, there’s only one option for getting rid of the baggy skin, and that’s surgery. It’s imperative that the person losing weight have an intense exercise program during the time of the weight loss plans. Exercising will help some, though.
Loose skin after weight loss in woman, clothing can cover the body, hiding most of the loose skin, but that won’t help the face and neck. There are skin tightening products, now being made, which will help give the skin a tauter appearance. The lotions are great for legs, arms, stomach and other areas. As you’re smoothing on the lotion work your way upwards, never pulling downwards on the skin.
Although clothes can cover the skin after weight loss they often can’t hide the amount of skin you have. Choose pants that have narrower legs or even pants with spandex. Elasticized pants hold the skin taut whether you’re walking or sitting.
The people after weight loss who have lost a tremendous amount of weight often have quite an excess of skin in the stomach region. Wearing a girdle, a one piece bathing suit, or a body suit under your shirt can keep skin taut while bending over.
Girdle type panties, or panties that are elasticized can help hold skin tight. If your skin is baggy at the rear it’s best to avoid thong-type undies.
Cosmetic Surgery After Weight Loss
Weight loss is something that is pursued by a huge percentage of the population. It’s after that weight loss that cosmetic surgery comes into play. There are two main reasons people seek out cosmetic surgery after weight loss.
Continuing the Improvement
If you’ve sacrificed everything to lose those extra pounds and are eating healthy, why not continue to improve yourself and your body? This is the reasoning behind many surgeries that take place after weight loss.
Fixing the Damage
Even the face can suffer from rapid weight loss and sagging. Cosmetic surgery can take up this excess skin and help smooth the post weight loss body out into something more like the dream. With today’s plastic surgery techniques, even scars are minimal and most people will look pretty normal after weight loss to use the surgery.
It’s actually easier to see what you want after weight loss. Often, a significant drop in weight can cause a huge boost in self-esteem and with the addition of cosmetic surgery to that, you can literally feel like a brand new person.

I must admit that I did not know what to expect when I purchased this book, but I was pleasantly surprized. I found it to be well organized, well researched, filled with interesting information and most of all HONEST.I felt that the author provided a very balanced report on the state of plastic surgery in our time and the fact that she included her own experiences with some of the procedures / equipment, shows that there was no hidden agenda or portrayal of a perspective that panders to the bias of those either strongly for or strongly against plastic surgery. She gives the facts just as she sees them. Excellent reporter.
