Even though most people and nutritionist recommend a low carbohydrate diet it can cause harm to your body. These are considered as non-essential nutrients but still there are many risks that are related to such lowering of carbohydrates from the diet.
One of the major problems associated with a low carbohydrate diet is ketosis. Carbohydrates result in forming of glucose in the body, which is essential for providing energy in the body. You should consult a dietician regarding your body requirements of the carbohydrate.
All the foodstuffs mention the amount of carbohydrates and calories that they have. You can maintain a balance even if you are on a carbohydrate diet by exercising. Check all the listed carbohydrates in your food and then consider having it.
What to take in a carbohydrate diet
You should be careful with the oil that you use to cook your food. You should not use oils that are rich In saturated fats. You should also prefer lean meat in comparison to other meat. You can easily take in eggs, fish, meat, fruits, vegetables and nuts in your carbohydrate diet. Besides you should avoid having dark meat and saturated fats.
For a balanced carbohydrate diet you can have 6-10servings of pasta, cereal, rice or bread. Cutting down carbohydrates completely from your diet would not make any sense so do not starve yourself and eat a balance diet.
