xxx Low carbohydrates diet is designed for them wanting to control weight as well as the treatment for obese people. Apart from these reasons, the low carbohydrates diet is conducted for people having other problems or disease such as diabetes and epilepsy, even though the diet is still controversial and lack of support to be done in the treatments for children.
The diet is conducted by replacing all the food that highly contains of digestible carbohydrates such as bread, rice, pasta, and similar meals, with food that contains more with proteins and fats, such as meats and soy products. This is very often accompanied by the food with low carbohydrates, such as fruits and green leafy vegetables. The proteins and fats that is consumed in the low carbohydrates diet is aimed to replace or compensate the calories that formerly obtained from carbohydrates.
Low carbohydrates diet in general advices people to reduce nutritive carbohydrates to a very low level. This means that they have to avoid some food such as desserts, breads, pastas, potatoes, rice, and other sweet or starchy food. The research has proved that low carbohydrates diet is effective to lose weight since it eliminates the water retaining in the body. This has to do with the insulin level, where the higher insulin level will cause unnecessary water retention in the body. Yet, the loss of weight caused by the reducing amount of water will not be permanent if the low carbohydrates diet is not conducted continuously with sufficient exercise.
The last, as it is in other general diet, it is advised that you do not do the low carbohydrates diet excessively. Every meals has to be counted so that you can keep it in balance, if you omit one type of nutrition, then the replacement should exist, so that your body can metabolize normally. If you cannot do the planning by yourself, then consulting to the diet counsellor or doctor will be the best answer.
