Low Diet Systems, Do They Work?

A low diet is a diet weight loss plan that advocates consuming low amounts of certain macro-nutrients or calories in order to lose weight.

Does a low diet help you lose weight faster?

Let’s investigate each type of low diet in turn:

The low calorie diet

With a low calorie diet you may see initial dramatic weight loss but most of the weight lost will be water weight and muscle wastage rather than fat loss and when your metabolism slows down, you may well notice weight gain in the form of fat.

The low protein diet

Low protein diets are few and far between and I would also avoid them.

The low fat diet

Low fat diets became all the rage in the 80’s and still have their advocates today.

The low carb diet

The most popular type of low diet during recent years has undoubtedly been the low carb diet which has garnered support from a large amount of celebrities, movie stars and pop singers, and has been heavily featured in the media. Of these low carb diets, the Atkins diet is probably the most famous but there are others such as the South Beach Diet and Fat Loss 4 Idiots which are gaining popularity and are primarily low carbohydrate type diets.

Conclusion on the low diet – do they work?

You need to also ensure that your chosen diet is a “low diet” and not a “no diet” – the human body needs all macro-nutrients and any diet suggesting otherwise is one to definitely avoid.

My recommended low diet is the Fat Loss 4 Idiots program which is essentially a low carb diet marketed as a calorie shifting one, it is certainly worth investigating. My advice is to experiment with low carb and low fat diets and look to cut calories in small amounts, avoid excessive calorie reduction and don’t go too low with your protein.

Low Diet – The Way to Your Long Life

Low diet means low fat intake in your daily life. If you simply eat less or just cut fat out of you diet, you will lack in at least one of the essential nutrients.

In western counties people’s diet is too rich in fat as well as calories, refined sugars, starches, and oils. Life threatening diseases are caused by the excessive intake of fats. The low-fat diet will add immeasurably to your general health and well-being.

The cholesterol found in the blood is made largely in the liver from fats in the diet. Cutting down and keeping in control the fat content is a main priority in our diet. Omega-3 and polyunsaturated are the healthy fats and should be eaten in avocados,fish and olive oil. Abundant amounts of these type foods should be in your diet.

People on a low-fat or fat-free diet it is most certainly known now are virtually free from heart attacks and strokes, which are so common among people on a fat diet.

To lack understanding of foods is not the correct basis for a low diet. Lowering your cholesterol with a low fat diet is the way to go for more energy, tighter muscles, firmer body and less bulk mass.
