Losing Weight With The Vegan Diet
The vegan diet is based on the belief that the body is designed to receive raw foods. A diet that consists mainly of organic and raw foods will promote the best health. Adopting the vegan diet allows people to revert back to the original diet.
You’re probably thinking, “Am I going to lose weight with vegan diet program?” It is actually relatively safe to assume that you will indeed lose weight with vegan diet program. Since a diet consisting mainly of raw foods will naturally exclude meat, you will be left with vegetables and fruits. It is practically impossible to eat anything that would cause you to gain weight.
Promoting Juicing as a Part of the Vegan Diet Plan
The vegan diet encourages vegetable juicing. As you may have surmised, the whole program consists mainly of plant foods. Nutritionists argue that the juicing process merely minimizes the fiber, but it does not enhance the nutrient absorption since it is actually the stomach’s enzymes that actually prepare the food for absorption. Therefore, juiced food cannot be more absorptive. Setting juicing aside, however, if you are merely looking for a program that works as a diet plan, you can definitely try the vegan diet.
What Can You Eat?
Again, the vegan diet consists mainly of organic plant foods – raw fruits and vegetables. You cannot eat meat or other animal products, white sugar and refined floor. You cannot drink coffee, alcohol or tea.
Does the vegan diet works? Yes, it does. However, before you adopt the vegan diet, it is important that you first consult with your physician. Vegan diet is not easy to do, so make sure that you are prepared for it.
