Diabetes 2 Diet – Overview
Most diet will advice people to do better habit in their life by eating more healthily, exercising more, having rest enough, and avoiding smoking. For the people having the disease of Type 2 diabetes, the advice will be greater in importance since it will help them to control the blood glucose level. All of the activities are combined in the diabetes 2 diet. The diet itself is divided into three, based on the goal that is wanted, including improving the blood glucose level, blood fats, or blood pressure.
The first type of diabetes 2 diet is focused to maintain the blood glucose level, and the insulin normally does this. The type 2 of diabetes usually involves two things, involving the insulin resistance and insulin secretion. The insulin is needed to metabolize carbohydrates that are contained in our meal. Normal people will produce insulin in the right amount, but not with the people with the disease. For this problem, the diabetes 2 diet is needed, by increasing the daily activity, reducing the calories intake, trying to lose some weight, and well selecting foods with carbohydrates.
The second type of diabetes 2 diet is aimed to help people having unhealthy level of blood fats. The disease leads to heart disease and circulation problems. The diabetes 2 diet is conducted to keep the blood fats in normal level. This can be done by reducing the intake of saturated fat and avoiding drinking alcohol to reduce the cholesterol and triglycerides containing in the blood.
The last type of diabetes 2 diet will bring the solution for them wanting to maintain the blood pressure. The disease leads to diabetic eye and kidney damage, as well as the heart disease. Exercising regularly, eating low fat and low salt food, reducing alcohol consumption will be so much helpful to conduct the right diabetes 2 diet.
